Since 2003, Althea Halchuck has been the principal of Dispute to Resolution, a firm dedicated to mediating civil, community and end-of-life disputes. She has extensive training and experience in every conflict arena and has mediated over a thousand disputes. Additionally, Althea advocates for seniors, helping them manage adult family conflict as they near the end of their life. In 2012, she earned a Health Law Doctorate (E-JD) from Concord Law School, a division of Purdue University. Her degree provides an in-depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations around thorny elder and end-of-life issues. She also has advanced training in Bioethics consultations in both the ICU and at the bedside. She has been a hospice volunteer since 2005. Her recent designation, Certified Thanatologist: Death, Dying and Bereavement (CT) is from the Association for Death Education and Counseling. In 2016, she completed an end-of-life Doula training in order to help people have their best death possible. Althea has combined her experience in conflict resolution with her end-of-life training to help families find peaceful resolutions for their dying loved ones.
